The University of Chicago's Center for Aortic Diseases (UCCAD) is one of the largest aortic programs in the region.  It is the result of a focused effort by the University of Chicago Medicine to offer state-of-the-art care to patients with complex aortic disease. 

UCCAD has assembled a world-class group of clinicians and scientists dedicated to the diagnosis and management of complex aortic conditions including:  
  • Aortic Valve Disease - including Aortic Stenosis, Aortic Insufficiency, and Bicuspid Aortic Valves
  • Aortic Aneurysms including: 
-  Aortic Root Aneurysms    
-  Ascending Aortic Aneurysms  
-  Aortic Arch Aneurysms  
-  Descending Thoracic Aortic Aneurysms  
-  Thoracoabdominal Aortic Aneurysms  
-  Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms 

  • Aortic Dissections - including Type A Dissections and Type B Dissections
  • Native Aortic and Prosthetic Graft Infections, including Endocarditis
  • Congenital Aortic Disease, such as Marfan's syndrome and Loeys Dietz
